Who are CCG
The Computational Culture Group (CCG) are a research group based within the department of creative technology at Bournemouth university. Our groups mission statement to research, explore, and develop new technologies that help us understand both how technology can support culture, and how culture can arrise from technology. This includes:
- Digital Cultural Heritage research exploring how technology can enhance heritage sites
- eXtended Realities cultural applications and its impact on the User eXperience and society
- Cultural installations and Storytelling using Games, Audio, and mixed media
- The increasing role of Artificial Intelligence in modern culture from narrative generation to media processing
Our group is made up of a mixture of academics, researchers, and PhD students from a mix of backgrounds including Games, Computer Science, and Music and Sound. Our projects are also a mixture of small internally funded experiments, matched funded projects with industry and other partners, and large research projects funded by research councils. We are open to collaboration and available for PhD applications.
